1. How often is data updated?
Data is updated daily. All pricing and inventory data is pulled each morning at 8:00 AM CST and is not pulled again until the next morning. There can be varability in pricing due to dealers changing pricing throughout the day.
2. Why not just use vAuto or HomeNet?
Great question, and you should be using those tools.
vAuto and HomeNet are strong tools for pricing and merchandising your own inventory. That’s what they’re built for. DealerPointIQ isn’t trying to replace those systems.
DealerPointIQ is designed to watch your market for you.
We focus on competitor pricing, inventory movement, days on lot, and changes by model and trim - and we surface that information automatically through daily alerts, reports, and a simple mobile app. Instead of digging through multiple screens, you see what changed and why it matters.
Think of vAuto or HomeNet as the tools you use to set prices.

3. Can I share reports with my team?
Yes! You can share the data with your team via the share button on certain pages of the app. You will also be provided with a PDF report twice a week to your inbox, along with a CSV flatfile of the inventory that we maintain on each dealer in your chosen market.
4. Is only New Car inventory supported?
Yes, currently our pricing insight tool is only for New car inventory. We are discussing adding in a used car layer.
5. What mobile platforms are supported?
Currently, only iPhone (iOS) is released but Android support will be available by mid-February 2026.
6. Can I share access?
No need to, we do not charge by the login or seat. Just reach out to support@dealerpointiq.com and we will build a login for anyone at your store.
7. Where do you get your data?
DealerPointIQ is powered by a combination of enterprise-grade automotive data sources and our own proprietary processing layer.
We aggregate vehicle listings directly from OEM-authorized dealer websites, national and regional marketplaces, and industry-standard inventory feeds that are widely relied on across the automotive ecosystem. This data is continuously refreshed and normalized to ensure accuracy and consistency across markets.
From there, we apply our own pricing intelligence, market-positioning logic, and competitive modeling to turn raw listings into actionable insights - so you’re not just seeing data, you’re seeing what actually matters in your market.
8. Is this real sales data?
Sales are determined by caluclating inventory movement with a padding of 7 days built in so we calculate inventory momentum. We capture and store your inventory and your competitor inventory daily, then we watch each piece of inventory as it moves through your feeds. The 7 day lag exists to make sure that the vehicle is actually gone and the dealer didn't simply restock it later.
9. How accurate is the data?
Our data reflects live market listings as shoppers see them, not estimates or self-reported numbers.
Inventory, pricing, and availability are continuously refreshed and normalized across sources to minimize discrepancies and inconsistencies. While no market data can be perfect at every moment, DealerPointIQ is designed to provide a highly reliable, directional view of your competitive landscape so you can make confident, informed decisions.
10. What is a dealer market?
A dealer market is defined and controlled by you. You tell us which dealers you want to track against your own inventory and we handle the rest.

11. Does DealerPointIQ integrate with my DMS or inventory tools?
No integrations are required to get started.

14. How long does it take to get started?

15. Can other dealers see my data?
No.
Each dealer’s view is isolated and private. While market-level insights reflect public listings, your dealership’s usage, insights, and activity are never shared with other dealers.
16. Are there long term contracts or commitments?
No long-term contracts. No lock-ins.
DealerPointIQ is offered on a simple 30-day, month-to-month basis. You can cancel at any time.
We believe the product should earn its place every month by delivering clear value — not by locking you into a long-term agreement.
17. Is DealerPointIQ eligible for Coop reimbursement?
DealerPointIQ is not currently eligible for OEM Co-Op reimbursement.
That said, our pricing is intentionally structured to remain accessible and cost-effective, even without Co-Op support. We’ve designed DealerPointIQ to deliver clear, everyday value without relying on long-term contracts or manufacturer incentives.
